eLearning is thus best suited to today's dynamic business context. It is no wonder then that organizations have rushed to jump on the bandwagon. However, not all have reaped the benefits that eLearning can offer. The right ecosystem was not created in most cases for eLearning to thrive. Some issues, such as reduced role of the subject matter expert, need for performance metrics, and leverage of existing learning units were not addressed.
